UUSRP

BACKGROUND
The University of Ulster Science Research Parks Ltd (UUSRP Ltd) was established in 1999 by the University of Ulster (UU) to manage the development of Science Research Parks across the University campuses. UUSRP Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of University of Ulster.
The Science Research Parks were developed to support the clustering of knowledge-based companies in close proximity to the centres of research excellence in Northern Ireland. As a result, the opportunity for continued innovation and commercial acquisition of new technologies arising from the University research base will be maximised.
It is anticipated that the close interaction between the companies and University research personnel will develop an innovation community within the clusters providing enhanced opportunities for both tenants and the University’s technology and knowledge transfer activities.
The University of Ulster is the largest university on the island of Ireland with leading edge research strengths in Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Information Technology, Engineering and International Business which has established the University as an “internationally recognised centre of excellence”.
